Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital traces on the entrepreneurial interest of Business Management students who have not yet established their own businesses. Online activities such as social media engagement and participation in digital business communities create digital footprints that are presumed to shape students’ motivation and entrepreneurial orientation. The main research question focuses on the extent to which such digital involvement fosters an interest in starting a business. Employing a quantitative and associative approach, the data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Forms and analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings reveal that digital traces have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest, indicating that the more actively students engage in entrepreneurial digital activities, the greater their tendency to pursue entrepreneurship. These results underscore the vital role of digital footprints in fostering entrepreneurial motivation and readiness in the digital era.
